Friendlypak provides a range of environmentally friendly products for use in Rest Homes, from preparing and serving meals to waste solutions.
We can visit your premises and take a look at what you are already using, suggesting some alternative products to make your switch to being environmentally friendly easy!
The first switch we usually suggest is to start collecting your kitchen scraps in either our Max Air or Tall Air bins with compostable liners. These ventilated bin systems are fantastic for kitchen refuse, particularly fruit and vegetable peels! No mess, no smell, and no fuss – once full, simply tie up the liner and take directly to the compost, worm farm or green collection bin as the liner will compost along with the contents.
We also supply liners to fit all size bins for other areas within the premises. By using bin liners you also save time, and money cleaning out smelly bins, and do the environment a big favour.
For the kitchen and food preparation we have a variety of products, from disposable gloves and aprons to our biodegradable cling film . Great for storing food, it is completely compostable, allowing it to be disposed of along with your other compostable items. As well as being biodegradable, our cling film is also safe and non-toxic. For extensive use, it is also available in a commercial size.
For outings, we have compostable sandwich bags, a range of disposable Potatopak plates and bowls, timber cutlery and serviettes - everything you need to take for picnics or special outings.
Our compostable Sugar Cane bowls and trays also make great additions to the craft area.
For staffrooms, we offer a wide range of products, such as our compostable coffee cups. Available in all of the standard sizes, and with lids to fit. We encourage the use of our unbleached paper serviettes to wrap around the cup for protection from heat and spills. We also have disposable aprons, perfect for protecting staff clothing during food preparation, and these are of course compostable too. Our Sugar Cane and Potatopak ranges are great for storing food, and are available in a wide range of sizes and shapes. We also offer compostable drinking straws and utensils, in a few different sizes.
