Friendlypak offers an extensive range of environmentally friendly products for use in Foodcourts and Halls, from food preparation, food packaging and serving, coffee cups and holders, to waste solutions for the kitchen and bathrooms.
We can visit your premises and take a look at what you’re already using, suggesting some alternative products to make your switch to environmentally friendly easy.
The first step we usually suggest is to start collecting kitchen scraps separately in a 40L handle wheelie bin, lined with a compostable sack. This separation of organic waste from landfill makes the biggest and best impact on the environment, as it allows the organic waste to be composted, worm farmed or collected by a service such as Greenwork to be taken to a composting facility. This simple change results in a huge reduction of waste going to landfill, and returns organic matter to the earth – as nature intended.
The use of a compostable liner for the wheelie bin results in you saving time and money cleaning out smelly bins, and at the same time does the environment a big favour! The liner will compost along with the organic matter.
We can also supply liners to fit bins out in the food court for customers to dispose of their compostable packaging and food waste. These can be emptied daily and picked up by a waste collection service. There are liners available to fit most size bins for other areas within the premises.
For cabinet food display, we have a new product range that has just become available - our Bamboo range, which has proven to be hugely popular. Designed to be disposable and 100% compostable, simply dispose of it along with your organic waste.
Friendlypak compostable coffee cups come in all the standard sizing, along with lids to fit. We encourage the use of our unbleached paper serviettes to wrap around the cup for protection from heat.
For takeaway needs, our Potatopak and Sugar Cane ranges have an extensive offering of punnets and clams, in many sizes and styles to suit. Perfect for foodcourt use, and customers can simply dispose them in labelled bins after use – both food and Friendlypak packaging! We can bring in samples to show you to determine which products in the range would be suitable for your foodcourt or hall.
Our timber cutlery range goes well with the takeaway containers, and has received much positive feedback from our customers, who like the eco-friendly look and function of the products. Our unbleached serviettes and timber cutlery are also fully compostable and biodegradable. We can bring in samples to show you, to determine which sizes and styles will be most appropriate.
Container, food waste, serviette and cutlery can all be composted, worm farmed or collected in organic refuse bins.
Compostable drinking straws are available too, in a few different sizes.
For the kitchen and food preparation we have a variety of products, from disposable gloves, to a world first product – biodegradable cling film , which is completely compostable allowing it to be disposed of along with your other compostable items. As well as being biodegradable, our cling film is also safe and non-toxic.
