Friendlypak provides a range of environmentally friendly products for use in your salon, from waste solutions to hygiene products.
We can visit your premises and take a look at what you’re already using, suggesting some alternative products to make your switch to environmentally friendly easy.
The first switch we usually suggest is to start collecting your staffroom food scraps in either our Max Air or Tall Air bins with compostable liners. These ventilated bin systems are fantastic for kitchen refuse, particularly fruit and vegetable peels! No mess, no smell, and no fuss – once full, simply tie up the liner and take directly to the compost, worm farm or green collection bin, the liner will compost along with the contents.
We also have our biodegradable cling film , which is completely compostable, allowing it to be disposed of along with your other compostable items. As well as being biodegradable, our cling film is also safe and non-toxic. It’s perfect for storing food in staffroom fridges, and for more extensive use is also available in a commercial size.
We also supply liners to fit all size bins for other areas within the premises. By using bin liners you save time and money cleaning out smelly bins, and do the environment a big favour.
A fantastic option for businesses is the Waste Solution Centre, labelled stackable bins which only take up a small footprint, and make sorting waste easy. Label each bin with waste stream, eg: organic waste, paper recycling, landfill etc. This enables simple and effective streaming of waste, reducing unnecessary landfill by using the correct bin to dispose of whichever item.
We currently supply various salons and clinics around New Zealand with our PotatoPak disposable trays. This tray is popular because it’s an ideal shape and is nicer to use than the stainless steel, plastic and foil trays. It also meets all the required hygiene and safety standards expected in such an environment. Trays can be used for various purposes but are usually used to carry items such as shampoos, hair gels or lotions, or for holding scissors and razors etc. After use the tray can be incinerated, composted, used as animal feed or in a worm farm.
Our Sugar Cane range has an extensive offering of punnets, bowls and trays, available in various sizes and shapes to suit your use case. Perfect for holding stylist tools, the sugar cane range is safe for use in a salon environment, and can simply be disposed of after use, saving you time and effort. We can bring in samples for you to try out, to determine which products in the range would best suit your business
For waxing, laser, hair colouring etc, disposable gloves are also available, and are able to be incinerated or composted after use.
